Double hayrack toplar

The roofed double hayrack (Kozolec toplar) is a valuable monument of folk architecture in Slovenia. The shape and function of the hayrack differed from region to region. They were primarily intended for draying grain and fodder, storing crops and varios farm tools and equipment. In 2002, Pudgura Tourist Society erected the hayrack (brought from Horjul), together with the etnographic collection of farm tools, which was also renewed in 2013. the visitors can see more than 200 exhibits and objects that were saved from destruction and oblivion. The roofed double hayrack is situated on the way from Postojna to Predjama. Next to the hayrack is a snack bar, where you can enjoy a refreshment or a snack.
